Definitely an Inside play area suitable for older children over 3 years, rather then toddlers. Time Out Plus is situated in one of Prague’s biggest Shopping malls: METROPOLE ZLIČIN when coming out from Prague towards Plzen, across the road from IKEA. It gives you the opportunity to clear your head and indulge in retail therapy, without having to drag your unwilling kid along.

Ladies (and some of you Gentleman) heres the perfect opportunity to shape up for bikini season and take your kids out to play at the same time. Right behind Galerie Butovice Shopping Mall you can hop on In-line skates and roll it. Kids can follow you on bikes or play at the Playground which is in site of the track. This is the place where we taught Marcus to ride a bike because the surface is smooth, straight and not too long.

If you have a feeling that you don’t get enough culture as you’re too preoccupied with your little treasures, then this is where you ought to go. There are great views of Prague’s historical buildings all lined up on the other side of the river. The National Theatre with its golden crown, Zofinsky Palace, and the sparkling and bubbling Sluice (canals). Wether you are a local or a visitor, you will always appreciate the touch of magic Prague.

When we crave wide open spaces and spectacular nature we head to Pruhonice Park, no matter what the season. And if like us you’re a romantic who loves walking for miles in thick forests and fields passing flowing streams, lakes and a picture perfect castle then this is the spot for you.

I always knew that there was an Indoor Playground in EUROPARK Sterboholy Shopping Centre but what I didn’t know was that they don’t look after children there at all so my plans got ruined the minute we arrived. I was hoping to leave Marcus supervised at the playground, meanwhile Nikki would be soundly sleeping in the pram and I could check out all the boutiques. Instead, I had to sit with both of them at the Destky Koutek (Indoor Playground).

NEW DESIGN after reconstruction!!! What do you think? I have been going to this kids play area for some time, therefore it doesn’t really surprise me that it is right next to public toilets in Novy Smichov Shopping Mall at Andel. So don’t be put off by the approach. It’s kind of strange when you slalom in between people queuing to use the WC as they say in Czech, but it’s worth it, if and when you manage to get in.

Bezrucovy Sady falls between the border of Prague 2 and 10 and was developed anew 2 to 3 years ago. Prior to this, the park was somewhat of a wasteland so the upgrade was welcomed by many. The range of equipment is of a high standard and all pieces are produced in quality, natural materials by the well known Finish company Lappset. This company builds playground equipment that is specifically designed to appeal to all of a child’s senses, while still leaving space for their natural imagination, promoting independent initiative and learning.

Everywhere on the Internet you will read how breathtaking the Spa town of Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad) is and how it’s often referred to as The Monte Carlo of Czech Republic. I will skip its history and I am going to show you in colour how we managed to have a great weekend away there with our demolition squad: 2 and 3 year old boys.

Discover this beautiful park in Prague 6 which houses two playgrounds and an In-line skating and cycling track. The Ladronka Grill Bar next to one of the playgrounds will take care of your hunger and thirst. Ladronka is a park that is well taken care of, there are small sporting areas and the wide circuit track is divided between pedestrians and cyclists. It’s high above the city, though is easily reached by tram, right next to a big crossing called Vypich.
