I am glad that somebody thought of a Kids indoor playground at the Airport. Many times we have been to pick my husband up from the airport and we’ve been stuck waiting for his delayed flight. The children’s corner is in the public zone of Terminal 2, access to it is from the departure hall in the direction of the viewing terrace.

The concept is that the Kids play area is right within the Bambule - Alltoys toy store. So you have to keep an eye on your child making sure that they play only with the allocated toys and not the store merchandise. I had a problem explaining this to the boys that only some toys they can play with and not all. Probably this led the owner to separate the shop and the indoor playground with a plastic brick wall, which seems to be working now.

Either way it’s a nice marketing trick the way it entices parents and children right into your shop. Bambule - Alltoys offers traditional Czech toys from local producers as well as international brands such as Lego, Mattel, Hasbro, Zapf, Tolo, Chicco, Fisher Price, Wadder, Intex and many others. Many of the toys at the playground are really nice, like a wooden train set that they boys were thrilled with. Also make sure you have some 10 and 20 CZK coins on hand so your kids can ride the electronic cars outside the store. Our boys can never resist.

A few metres further away you can visit the Airport museum for free. Here you can learn about the history of Ruzyne airport from 1937 to today. You can view photo galleries, maps showing significant historical eras of the airport’s development and also watch a documentary film on the airport from the time of it’s establishment until now. And especially interesting is a full size replica of a Czech built Avia BH 25 airplane that you can sit in. The airport museum can be found in the public area of the departure halls in Terminal 2 in front of the entrance to the viewing terrace.
