Fashion Arena Outlet Mall with Indoor & Outdoor Playgrounds, Prague 10

Indoor Playgrounds, Just for Mums on 17 April 2011 by Darina

Fashion Arena is the biggest outlet mall in the whole of Czech Republic. It is situated in Prague Sterboholy right alongside Jizni Spojka, Prague’s main arterial road that runs towards Hradec Kralove. You cannot miss this mall because its flags are visible from a long distance. How convenient was it to discover that they have an Indoor Playground with Babysitting as well as an outdoor Playground.

Get Your wallets ready and treat yourself to some shopping therapy!!! Over 100 outlets await!!!

Its called Arena, because it is formed in the shape of an Arena, with a big carpark in the middle with shops surrounding it. I have experienced this outlet style of shops in the USA so if you have been somewhere similar you have an idea what is awaiting you.

Imagine this, the same tops for my boys that I liked in the Cartoon Shop in Harfa Shopping Mall were 70czk cheaper here. Same quality, same stuff…. 2 shirts, I saved 140czk. I am a big fan of Itimissimmi underwear and the shop here is full of their goods for half price.

Here is the list of all Brands you will find there:

The Indoor playground is on the first floor of the main building where the food court is. You have to get on escalator next to the Bambule Toy Shop. Even here we found Lego Ninjas that we just bought for 300 Czk discounted by 50%. You can imagine my fury.

The Indoor playground is efficient and has the same system as any other Indoor playground. Kids up to 3 years must be accompanied and Kids over 3 years can be left there to play. I am sure they will appreciate this much more then being dragged from one shop to another.

The playground is run by the Timeout chain which you find all over Prague. This air-conditioned playground is painted in African safari style. The standard features are a Mini Theatre, an Art Zone, Interactive Zone with consoles such as: Sony PlayStation2 and Nintendo Wii and the Active Zone with slides into a ball pool and a real novelty is a large electrical car racing track plus special seats for healthy sitting - Swoppsters.

When we were there the racing track was out of order. I do hope it is functional by now because it takes up quite a bit of a space. It was torture trying to explain to my car obsessed Nikki that he cannot play with it.

The Outdoor Playground we didn’t personally try because it was quite cold when we got there, but it is positioned right next to the Cafe where you can drop your hubby off at whilst you go shopping. The Fashion Arena Outlet Center is easy to visit with children because prams, small bicycles or scooters are not a problem here.

I was amazed with the massive size of the Tchibo shop. You know, the coffee shop that you can find in many of Prague’s shopping malls. Often they have nice stuff to wear, specially designed pots and home art and every time I get my coffee Vienna or French press I buy something else. Well here everything is half price. I was overwhelmed.

That’s about it, you have to go and explore it for yourself now and let us know about your experience.
