Definitely an Inside play area suitable for older children over 3 years, rather then toddlers. Time Out Plus is situated in one of Prague’s biggest Shopping malls: METROPOLE ZLIČIN when coming out from Prague towards Plzen, across the road from IKEA. It gives you the opportunity to clear your head and indulge in retail therapy, without having to drag your unwilling kid along.

They babysit children from the age of 3 but after discussing this with the centre they agreed to take on younger kids such as Marcus (who is 3-4 months away from turning 3) as long as they are potty trained. If you bring a receipt from INTERSPAR grocery store in the mall, spending more than 500 CZK entry for kid is for free.

Its not that our Nicolas (who is 1.5 years old) didn’t have fun, but the whole place is equipped and furnished for older kids and there is very little space for falling babies, especially if your baby is a handful like our Nicolas who came home with two bumps on his forehead.

The play area itself is awesome and thoughtfully decorated as a Sea world. The reception is in the style of a boat, with fish and sea creatures everywhere and if you had any doubts about the style, there is a 4 m high Fish as a slide into the ball pool. The space for playing is actually very small as i have mentioned, however they have created perfect hiding spots for older kids. Also, be aware that the stairs leading to the computer room and kitchen are not gated so little ones may get themselves in trouble.

The whole place is packed with toys for both genders (probably first time our Nicolas saw a doll and wouldn’t let go of it :-), there is a little kitchen with pots and plastic groceries, as well as cars, trains, dolls with buggies and little beds, little workhops and garages…...

Lota of kids were climbing up the climbing wall, falling into the pool with plastic balls. The big slide in a shape of a big green fish dominates the whole play area as i have mentioned. Its really nice, but some may later have nightmares of big green fish chasing them - its huge!

The computer room with Play stations upstairs were really appreciate by older boys over 5-6. I was temped myself, but resisted :-)

On your first visit you have to register your child for free and then the next time you come, you just mention the name. There is limited capacity of 35 children - according to the number of little lockers where you store your child’s shoes and jackets. In rainy weather or during the winter months I would recommend giving them a call to find out how packed they are.

What I find really cheeky is the ‘help yourself’ box with a mix of soft drinks that kids can just pick up and drink. These drinks are NOT free and I would strictly advise the staff on how much my kid could drink considering how much sugar are in these drinks.

D - I DON"T UNDERSTAND THIS SENTENCE? Not mentioning, that if your child would be hospitable like my husband is, and invite all the presets kids for a “drink” you could end up with loooong bill to pay afterwards.

What i was really pleased to see was that both Nannys were really interacting with the kids, playing with them, helping them up the slide and keeping an eye on their safety. The centre also organises weekly activities as well as a long table with stamps and crayons where children can unleash their creative side.

The staff said that they have no problems with English speaking kids as there is always someone on staff (including at least one Nanny) who speaks English.
