We have lived in Prague for 3 years now and have celebrated our first daughter’s second and fourth birthdays at The Little Mole. The first time we had an Easter themed party and just recently we had a more elaborate party that included cupcake decorations. The Little Mole is an English nursery and preschool in Prague 2 and it is a great party place for us because you can use both their inside and outside areas. It’s also centrally located in Vinohrady with easy public transportation access and easy parking outside of the park.

The school is located inside Riegrovy Sady park and is protected by a fence which makes it safe for families with small kids. There is also plenty of space to “park” your strollers in the coat room. The staff are very friendly and speak English, Polish and Czech. The cost for 3-4 hours rent of the space 3500 CZK and includes the use of the playground, outdoor and indoor areas, decoration, some drinks and party supplies as well as use of toys. You can also use the kitchen for set up and serving if needed.

There is a big room that functions as a gym or events area where you can rent clown services or any other entertainment and there is a separate area where you can serve food and cut the cake. The school provides basic drinks (coffee, juice, waters) and disposable plates and cups. They also work on general decoration. They can recommend catering services (Zatisi Group) and entertainment companies that you contact directly.

You are free to either let your creativity design your kids party or if needed you can hire somebody to create the party for you. In my case, I love doing it by myself as far as planning a party. The Little Mole was great helping me create a lovely party (twice!) for my girl. This second time, I set up everything in the gym space, to have everybody enjoying the same place. Tables were ready in the middle of the room, the teachers did an amazing job decorating the big mirror they have in the front of the room with the theme that I designed – they even drew a little girl that looked like Adri!

Balloons were also part of the room décor. Kim, one of the Staff Members helped out that day and even helped me with extra decorations that I bought along and she wouldn’t even let me pick up after the party was over. She was a great assistance for us that morning. After we played inside, and because the weather was great, we took the piñata to the playground and all the kids enjoyed playing outside until the party was over. They have a newly renovated playground with new games and even benches so the parents can sit and enjoy while the kids play.

They also have a good variety of motor vehicles for the little ones – little bikes. And what party cannot be completed without a trampoline! For the parents and kids it was a great time, we enjoyed the indoors and outdoors, and even the families with little siblings had a great time because there are toys for all ages. For us it was the perfect morning and celebration for Adri’s 4th party!
