La Boca Argentinian Restaurant with Play Area, Prague 1
Lately - our favourite restaurant, right next to the Palladium Shopping Mall in the centre of Prague. The food is amazing and the wine even better. This Argentinian restaurant has a great atmosphere and an indoor Play Area for Kids - which makes it perfect. I also totally love the interior of memorabilia and Spanish decor. You step in and you feel like your in an exotic place. They also have a courtyard set up as a winter garden.
If you want to sit close to the Play Area - go to the back of the restaurant. The back part is also perfect for groups or celebrations and I could see my husbands (or my) birthday being thrown there. This is also how they advertise it - the event Lounge of La Boca. It has its own plasma TV for presentations and Wi-Fi. If not booked it’s used as another part of the restaurant.
An interesting menu is served - both Spanish and traditional Czech dishes. The tapas are a good size and everything is served quickly. There is an inner courtyard seating area that is lovely and cool on hot evenings with lots of greenery and old framed movie posters.
The wine we can recommend is the red Chillien Savignon - I write this in my pyjamas :-) and presently cannot come up with the name - but it is dressed up in a sack-cloth. They have a great choice of steaks but we usually stick with 3-4 rounds of starters and we never make it to main courses. My big recommendation is: Gambas de Andalucía which is tiger prawns with garlic, olive oil and hot peppers, served in a hot earthenware bowl with a grilled herb baguette. As far as I can remember my Hubby had 3 of those during our last visit, along with the delicious olive bread it was a great evening.
A friend of mine loves the roasted potatoes with rosemary.
The Play Area is small - but well isolated and full of toys. If you sit right next to it - in the Lounge - your kids can play and you can overlook them.
La Boca restaurant has a hotel right above it called Salvator. It has the same owner - but they market it separately. The whole building with the restaurant and the hotel is within one of the historical buildings of Prague.

If you are standing in front of the Palladium Shopping Mall and facing it - go to the left - the first street - again to the left. By tram: Tram no.: 8, 24, 3 and 5 to tram stop: Namesti Republiky. By Car: Enter from Revolucni Street and drive into Palladium garages.
