‘Tis the Season to eat Cake!
If you missed seeing the lovely, home made cakes at Expat Expo here is your chance. I was so thrilled about the whole concept that after the Expo I got in touch with Lana and Olga. Home delivered Lanka Cakes are suitable for any party and will save you time. The whole idea was started by two expat girls who both followed their husbands to Prague, met in a classroom while studying Czech, and the idea of a bakery was born shortly after.
They realised that there was a lack of reasonably priced, western-style baked goods in Prague and they wanted to do something that they enjoyed. So both of them started a private revolution of cup-cakes in Prague and the positive feedback was overwhelming.
Their policy is to keep it to simple, using good quality, seasonal and well sourced ingredients. Nothing is frozen or re-used. They bake your order as close to the delivery as possible – in some cases, it is still warm when you receive it. I can confirm - I have received my delivery from Lanka Cakes fresh. Their food is not pretentious in any way – if you order a carrot cake, you will receive a simple carrot cake. It might also be the best one you’ve had in years.

Cookie Decoration Parties for 3-7 year olds
This can be a great way to entertain children during a birthday party. The activity lasts 1 hour. Each child receives 3 large shaped cookies to decorate. Lanka provide sprinkles, different colours of royal icing, small candies, chocolate, coloured sugar and a lot of paper napkins. They show kids different techniques of decorating, then let them unleash their inner artist. They even clean up after the little ones, while they show off – or eat - their masterpieces.
