Medvidek Indoor Playground, Prague 5

Approximately a month ago I found a great place. It is called Medvídek and it is located in Na Bělidle Street, Prague 5 directly on Anděl (about 100 m far from Anděl tram stop). It is a mummy club and it is divided into three parts – mini cafe, gym and children area. When you enter into Medvídek, you will meet very friendly staff (English and French speaking, by the way) and you are in the central part – in the cafe. You can get here not only tea or coffee, but wines, hot wine and delicious cake. You can also buy food and drinks for your children.
On your left side is the gym. You can attend number of different lessons (bodybuilding, aerobic, pilates….) or lessons with dancing and singing for children. If there is not any lesson the gym is at disposal for kids. Like that they have two rooms for playing. I want to share my experience with an exercise lesson that is focused on problematic body parts. I was really glad I survived the first lesson.
I must honestly say I really like our instructor Šárka who really knows her stuff. It very pleasant that the classes are not always crowded. During the first part of it we warmed up our mucles (right after this part I was ready to take shower and goe home), the second-main part is body forming focused on problematic parts of our bodies – legs, belly and buttocks. It is long and cruel but the result is worth it. The final part is stretching. Right after that you can take a shower right there.
The babysitting takes places in a separate room where you can spend more time after the classes with your kid. This part is full of nice toys, there is a slide as well comfortable couch and armchair (more comfortable than the ones in my living room). The lady who takes care of children is very kind and friendly, she likes children and whats more important - children like her. She does not only sit there and watch them ( like in a lot of children indoor playgrounds ) but she really plays with them, offers them new toys, books or papers for drawing. I was really delighted, because I am usually afraid to leave my one year old daughter Adélka with strange babysitters. I took my older son Marek there too (3 and half years) and he was very happy with toys just right for him too
Now I am used to go there for the lessons or just to have glass of wine with friends and our children can play in nice and clean area or you can leave your children there and you have time to see your doctor (it makes it easy for me now)..
OPEN: Mon - Fri: 09:00 - 18:00 , if you need babysitting on weekend - they do this on order. Also Tuesdays and Wednesdays they open already at : Tue 7:15, Wed: 7:45

DIRECTIONS: Easily reached by public transport and by car. You can park underneath in the huge car park at Novy Smichov Shopping Mall. The first 3 hours are free, on weekends the first 5 hours are free. By Metro take the yellow B line to station ANDEL. Or trams 4, 7, 9, 10, 12 to tram stop ANDEL.
PRICES: the entrance is 50 Kč per 1 hour (for mum and child), about 140 Kč are the gym classes, but you get a lot of benefits if you buy a permanent card.
