Trampoline Jumping With Babysitting, Prague 5
I have to admit I nearly died at my first jumping lesson. But it was so worth it. Somebody came up with a great idea to arrange babysitting for this lesson, so i dropped my boys off to the kids corner in Squashpark-Cibulka and enjoyed the ride. If you need to loose some extra weight quickly or to shape up, you have to try this. In one hour this exercise is proven to burn 1500 calories!!! and after the exercises I could feel every troublesome muscle (abdomen, hips, shoulders..) not to mention how much fun it was.
The only day and time Squashpark arranges babysitting for so far is Tuesdays at 10:00. This is especially organised for the trampoline jumping classes. However, if you prefer to play squash instead babysitting applies here too. Or, you can take advantage of the fitness centre or a spinning class. Personally, I would rather go to Family Fitness with its non-stop babysitting to work out. But squash and jumping are great here. WHAT IS NEW : Aerobic classes every Wednesday at 10:00 with Babysitting !
I’ve since read that trampoline jumping is supposed to be very healthy, since there is no hard impact on your joints. I dropped aerobic classes several years ago for this reason. However, this jumping seems really easy on the body. I was expecting to be in pain the next day, as I normally am from squash, but it wasn’t bad at all.
I very much liked that the instructor lets us take small breaks.. Being late (Marcus spilled whole sippy cup over him and Nicolas in front of the car, so my departure turned to manic turmoil with a complete change of clothes for both boys) meant that I knew nothing about the rhythm of the exercise and after 10 min of jumping, I was sure I couldn’t go on for another 50 min like that. It was tough. To my pleasant surprise the Instructor stopped to have a 5 min stretching session and this pace (exercise/stretch) was continued throughout the lesson.
Btw. They organise Trampoline jumping also on Prague 2: Fitness Lanna and Prague 4: Squash Arena Novodvorska. See more on: Bodytime
They do promise some exercising for babies as well. After the lesson they let the little ones go wild on the trampolines and they loved it. If your child must have you in sight, I don’t see there being a problem taking them in the room with you. The lesson takes place inside or outside the building, depending on the weather. Even if you are inside, the door is opened at all times for fresh air which is very pleasant.
Don’t forget the towel! You will sweat a lot! and water. In case you forget, you can get it all at the reception.
The Squash courts also has a small kids play area. The courts are right opposite the play area, so you can see your child playing at all times. We play there regularly with my cousin and we often take the kids. She also has 2 boys and we let them run around whilst watching them through the glass or we put them to a separate squash court where they try to play squash to. Try is the right word and they love it! For this we usually take court numbers 10 and 9 as they face each other and there is a bench in between them where they eventually end up watching us, exhausted.
In case you forget something, you can either buy it or rent it. Including squash shoes. It cost from 30 CZK up to 50 CZK. Prices depend on which court you reserve - a New or Older court and the time of the day. To me it doesn’t really matter and we always take the cheaper ones in the back. However, the one facing the kids play area is a new one and costs more. Courts number 9 and 10 as I have suggested are older courts, therefore you can hire them for less money.

Well, I tried to get in, but they have limited number of trampolines (8) and one was broken down, so there was no place for me. I think its the best to book the class ahead instead of just walking in, like I did. Especially if you take your child with you. I had a little work out in their gym, but is isnt anything special. I was there on my own and it never gets crowded as I have been told.
I will let you know my experience once I get to the class.
